"1) Perfect location for those who want to explore the island, stay away from the tourist hot spot and experience “real” Aruba. 2) The house is very atmospheric and cozy, with lots of wooden furniture, an old wooden staircase that creaks charmingly, and a balcony from where you can observe iguanas on a large ficus tree just a few meters away. 3) Ingrid is an amazing host and a lovely person. She gave us great travel advice and was there when needed, without being intrusive. 4) Breakfast was just amazing!"

No hot water didn’t come as a surprise since we had read the reviews. Even though it’s common in Aruba, it’s worth mentioning.

"Accommodations are simple but very comfortable. Nice swimming pool right out the hotel room door. Short walk to the water. We really enjoyed diving. My 18yr old son got PADI certified. They did an awesome job with him. Nassar was his instructor. He was awesome! Area was very safe."

No complaints. Please understand that tourism is severely impacted by the Gazan war. Many hotels and restaurants are closed and those that are open often are operating in a limited capacity. For example hotel restaurants might not operate at all. This affects all hotels. There were almost no tourists as of November 2025.

"Friendly owner, clean place, comfortable bed, basic kitchen appliances in the room, as well as in the shared kitchen. Nice little outside seating areas. Quiet location, walking distance to the ferry. You can also rent a car from the owner should you need one."

Not much space in the room to move around, the on suite bathroom was a bit uncomfortable (really just a lil plastic box in the room, kinda see thru and if you wanna take a shower, everything gets wet and the room gets humid) so we opted for the shared bathroom in the hallway. The fan in the shared kitchen didn't work and there aren't many plates/bowls etc.

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Le logement est situé dans un endroit très calme et agréable, idéal pour se reposer tout en restant proche de Punta Cana. Tout était propre et conforme à la description. Un grand merci à notre hôte qui a été très accueillant et disponible. Nous sommes arrivés assez tard et il a eu la gentillesse de nous attendre pour nous recevoir, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Je recommande cet endroit sans hésiter et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir !"

Vous trouverez sur place toutes les combines si vous voulez organiser un trip sur les différents lieux touristiques du pays."

Cpdt, quelques tartines de pain et un peut de confiture auraient été les bienvenue, même si pas indispensable. Le Café est bon. l'endroit est paisible et harmonieux, et l armoire réfrigérée a soda, est a portée de main."

Le seul point gênant, a été la serrure de la grosse porte d'entrée d'origine de l endroit, dont le bruit de la serrure fait un peut penser à une serrure de porte de prison et le bruit, peut déranger les gens qui dorment la nuit. cpdt, cet endroit est authentique, et agréable

Stationnement sur parking en dehors de la location, pas toujours facile d y trouver une place selon l horaire. Le logement des hôtes se trouvant à l étage, il y a du bruit de bonne heure le matin.

"Location was amazing, the food you can have at the izakaya was amazing. They could speak english and one of the person working there translated the whole menu for us. They have a great system in place for the shared showers so don’t be worried about that. Hateruma is a gorgeous place to explore, highly recommend! Also booking system was super easy."

"I checked out the room and then in the airport I got the news that my flight was delayed for 5 hours. I came back in the hotel and they allowed me to stay in my room. Thanks for understanding. The hotel doesn't offer food though they recommended the good restaurant nearby. They have a driver to arrange a transfer when necessary. So nice when we were in a rush to the airport!I"

I would recommend to renew towels. They were clean but old.
