"L emplacement est dépaysant, calme avec une belle vue sur La Valette. Le petit-déjeuner est de qualité et copieux. Les boissons fraîches proposées sont variées. L accueil est parfait et les hôtes répondent rapidement et sont de bons conseils pour les visites."

This is a new concept. A few teething issues to sort. Breakfast took a long time. They should also make you aware in advance about cruise timings as it means the boat is unaccessible. This is OK providing your planning an evening out somewhere anyway. Evening cruise from 8pm to 11pm in our case

L'accueil de monsieur : aucune courtoisie, fait comme si l'on n'existait pas. ,Accès routier dégradé et complexe, dangerosité de l'escalier d'accès à la chambre, en colimaçon et d'une pente non sécuritaire.... Pas fait pour les personnes âgées et très difficile de monter une valise. Filet d'eau pour la douche, difficile de prendre une douche dans ces conditions. Pas de porte pour fermer la chambre à clé, mauvaise literie , porte communicante avec l'habitation des propriétaires non insonorisée.

There’s barely anything to fault, but the spot is a bit far from busy areas. It wasn’t a real issue for us, though, since we wanted a peaceful stay.

"Very handy location. Boat well appointed with everything you could need: toilet, small shower, galley with all facilities (except a wooden spoon!). Bed comfortable with cosy bedding. Lounge and dining areas separate with a good amount of room, for two at least."

Being a bit inexperienced at staying on boats it took us a while to fine tune the way we used things but hey, life’s a learning experience. Hot water did run out but easily overcome and, with a bit of communication, eventually fixed up. It’s a boat, not a 5 star Hilton; these things happen.

"The Sailboat Ragamuffin is a unique experience. You are staying in a sailboat moored off of Water Island, where your hosts live after sailing the Caribbean for 30 years. They are a font of information and anecdotes about the US virgin islands and others. Jo is an accomplished chef and strives to give you the food types you desire. They pick you up by dinghy on the Crown Marina dock, and will take you by dinghy over to Water Island. In my case, I had two berths (bedrooms and bathrooms) on the boat, rocked to sleep by the rolling of the boat on the water. Don't miss going to water island, golf cart to Limestone Beach (coral reef) and Honeymoon Beach (the latter has turtles swimming around)"

The listing didn't make it quite clear what the accommodation would be - it described an apartment and a pool view. I thought it might be a houseboat on a dock. The pool view is the sea around the boat!

Le débit de l'eau au niveau de la douche, filet faible.

"Tout d'abord l'accueil. Nous avons tout de suite étés pris en charge, et informés de tout ce qu'il y a à savoir pour passer un excellent moment seuls, au milieu des icebergs. Puis nous sommes partis pour le tour privé en zodiaque sur le Fjallsarlon avec des explications sur le glacier, les icebergs, la formation et l'évolution de la glace. Passionnant ! L'Igloo n'est pas grand, par définition, mais l'espace y est optimisé et c'est un très joli petit nid. Nous y avons passé un moment magique. On se sent en sécurité et le spectacle est grandiose."

Petit bémol cependant, le repas. Il s'agit plus d'un pique nique que d'un repas, nous avons reçu un wrap industriel (pâte élastique, sans goût et non cuite). Pas d'alternative. Il y en avait deux par personne, un au poulet et un végan, mais ils n'ont pas tenu compte des allergies, et aucune boisson autre que de l'eau n'était proposée. Pourtant c'est vraiment l'endroit où l'on rêve d'une petite coupe de champagne... Le petit déjeuner n'était pas mieux, pain américain spongieux et sans goût. Nous nous empresserons d'oublier ce repas pour ne retenir que le positif.
