"We loved this place - set out in the middle of the rain forest with little other than toucans, howler monkeys, bats and agouti for company. I admit that if you are looking for a bland, all inclusive resort - La Ceiba may not be for you. But if you you want to sleep in the rainforest then this place is beyond perfect. There's a decent track about 400m long from where you park to the accommodation. It is lit at night - watch out for snakes and you'll definitely see frogs."

Just a suggestion - you should promote the work of the Jaguar Rescue Center more. We stayed here partly because the money is used to help wildlife - but many people may not make that connection and so may not go and visit the JRC

J’aurais aimé un petit meuble dans la salle de bain pour poser mes affaires et aussi qu’elle ferme a clef.

"Tres proche du lac, pas de voiture, c’est vraiment un endroit charmant et agréable. Un bon endroit de repos ! Si vous souhaitez faire la fête il y a une auberge sympa à 2mn à pieds."

"Lovely atmosphere and had all the facilities we needed. It was dark when we arrived making it a bit difficult to find however we managed to contact the manager and were guided to the property. There was no restaurant or cafe within walking distance but the young man who welcomed us went out of his way to go and get dinner and bring it back for us. A peaceful and comfortable stay. I would recommend this place."

There was no signpost on the main road to give directions. Not so bad during the day but necessary at night.

"Nous avons adoré le site, son emplacement et le chalet hyper cosy et confortable. L'atmosphère est sereine, le site entouré de montagnes et bercé du son de la rivière est magnifique. La situation est parfaite, du côté moins "habité" du lac tout en étant parfaitement accessible via notamment le bateau électrique qui vous mène près des restaurants, ds magasins et des lieux plus fréquentés."

L'absence complète de personnel d'accueil. La réception est toujours fermée et ne s'ouvre que sur rendez-vous. Les seuls contacts que nous avons eus se sont faits via whatsapp. Nos avons bien reçu toutes les informations nécessaires pour notre séjour et la personne qui nous répondait était très réactive. Nous aurions néanmoins aimé avoir un vrai contact humain ce qui nous a manqué.
