"Staffing is a serious issue at this hotel. Only two people seem to be running the entire place – managing the café/terrace, kitchen, and hotel administration all at once. It’s obvious they are stretched too thin. We visited in the evening and ordered only drinks, but still had to wait at least an hour for our order, as did all other café guests. People with children were visibly frustrated. As for the room, I don’t think there was a single item that wasn’t broken. The LED lights flicker like a disco, the freezer door is broken and falls off when you try to open it, and the bathroom mirror is broken to the point that you’re afraid to touch it in case it falls off the wall. The rooms are completely unrenovated and neglected. I understand it’s the off-season by ‘Šventoji’ standards, but if you’re offering year-round service, the rooms need to be maintained year-round. The next morning was even worse. Breakfast starts late at 9:00 AM, which is already unusual. We arrived promptly with our child for these late breakfasts, only to find a line of hotel guests already waiting. The bartender informed us that breakfast would be delayed by another 20 minutes because they were understaffed. In reality, we waited at least 30 minutes longer until a woman finally arrived, late, to begin serving what looked like leftovers from the kitchen. The hotel was quite full, but the line for food was enormous. In my last 10 years of travel, I’ve never had such a poor breakfast experience. The staff seemed almost eager to snap back at guests whenever a question was asked. Watching the staff’s behavior towards other guests was honestly unsettling. It’s clear they are overworked, and more staff is absolutely necessary. The excuse of ‘off-season’ staff shortages is unacceptable. If you’re offering year-round service, then quality must be maintained year-round."
