"Casa Amazonas was an amazing place that I stumbled upon. It was so peaceful, all of the facilities were immaculate, and the staff super attentive. The food they served was amazing and very healthy. We shared meals all together making it easy to meet and get to know other travelers. They also offered yoga classes three times a day and had other activities available for those on longer stays. I highly recommend this for a few days of respite after visiting Tambopata, I wish I had been able to stay for more time."

"A safe and mesmerising haven - We stayed for 1 night whilst passing through Puerto Maldanado and it was like stepping away from the world for 24 hours. Me and my husband enjoyed a wonderful Shamonic yoga/Sound Bath and I had a full body massage which was exceptional. The rest of the time we relaxed, listening to the sound of the rainforest. The yoga studio was also open 24 hours for access so I was able to do a self practice in the AM. Dinner and breakfast were simply exceptional - Organic and nutritious vegetarian food (with the option to add meat or fish) which was some of the best we've eaten in Peru. Finally, our host was exceptional - A calming demeanour, very interesting and ensured our comfort the entire stay- we just wished we could stay another night!"

"The site is located deep enough into the jungle that you feel mostly immersed. However, it's close enough to the city to feel comfortable still if the jungle is intimidating. The meals were absolutely delicious, made with fresh local ingredients either grown in their garden or purchased from local markets. The trips are more affordable through the resort than if booked off-site. They handle the taxi services and the full booking for you so its quite convenient. Tom, the site host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. He truly is passionate about his role with Casa Amazonas, and I don't doubt he'll continue to help build memories with many guests in the future."
"On weekends, you can hear some of the music from the city, which impacts the jungle experience a little bit. We also weren't fully aware of how the food situation worked until we arrived on site. The meals were delicious but can add up quickly in cost, and there are no options to cook anything yourself. So, plan accordingly."
"Location beautiful in the jungle Thomas is a good host that made our stay even better. Hot water Good food The rooms have good mosquito nets above the bed."
"More meet options for non vegetarians should be available Cold room as there was a cold air front during our stay. We have been provided with more blankets though. As there are no windows or mosquitos nets by the windows, we had the feeling as sleeping in a balcony. But we knew that as all lodges in the area are like this. However, for a long stay we would feel more comfortable with proper windows."
"Food amazing. Rooms really confortable and great private bathroom. Staff really caring. Lost in the middle of the jungle. Great massage. Deconnexion from the world"
"Pool a bit dirty Activities really expensive"
"It is like a little paradise in the middle of rainforest! Host and staff are super welcoming, food super delicious and rooms comfortable! Minimal mobile signal provides perfect escape from busy life and sounds of the rainforest is a beautiful music to fall asleep to!"
"Nothing I really didn’t like but location isn’t known to all taxi drivers in puerto Maldonado so make sure you save pin on your map straight away."
"From the first night, we felt how Casa Amazonas is designed for rest and well-being. Sleep is deep and truly restorative. The rooms are thoughtfully created for total disconnection—no noise, no magnetic waves, just nature and a calming atmosphere. Everything has been carefully planned to make you feel good. We were warmly welcomed by Tom, who ensures every detail is perfect. The energy of this place is unique. You immediately feel at peace and connected to the essentials. The Yoga Sala is a beautiful space, perfect for meditation and morning yoga practice. The food is excellent—healthy and full of flavor. We originally booked for one night, but the experience was so wonderful that we decided to stay for another. Casa Amazonas is a must-visit. A timeless retreat that rejuvenates and transforms. Highly recommended."
