"The breakfast was good and well balanced. The place has very beautiful villas. I like the privacy that the place provided. Great views. Great scenery Staff are very kind and professional. Language is a barrier especially if you are an English speaker. Very clean place. Great music at the La Marine restaurant. Great restaurant staff. Great food"

Despite the well balanced breakfast, I ate the same breakfast for the entire period of my stay. This was predictable and monotonous . The breakfast was standard, meaning that I had no choice in terms of portion, variety and pricing. I expected to find cooking pots and utensils in the kitchen to allow me the option of cooking and preparing anything . I wish the hotel provided information on places to be visited within the vicinity and information regarding the most recent COP29

The fact that, despite the heat, rooms were not supplied with drinking water & this had to be ordered from room service at $5 a small bottle. We had just arrived from staying at the Hamilton Princess hotel in Bermuda &, as is normal for luxury hotels of this standard, that had no problem in supplying drinking water to guests free of charge.

"Das Zimmer war überraschend groß und modern eingerichtet – man merkt sofort, dass alles neu ist. Besonders schön: die tolle Ausstattung mit Espresso-Maschine und kostenlosem Kaffee. Auch das Bad war sehr geräumig und hochwertig gestaltet. Über die Terrasse mit eigenem Strandkorb hatte man einen wunderbaren Blick Richtung Bodden – perfekt, um abends den Tag ausklingen zu lassen"

Das Zimmer ließ sich trotz der Verdunkelungsmöglichkeiten nur bedingt abdunkeln, da durch die Milchglastür früh Tageslicht hereinkam. Bei der Ankunft war es zudem recht staubig, was etwas den ersten Eindruck trübte. Außerdem war der Kaffeeweißer aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit auf der Insel hart geworden.

"The location is right in the heart of Georgetown, within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. The accommodation is beautifully designed,easily the best I’ve seen in Penang. The staff were incredibly friendly and always made sure we were well taken care of."

If I were to nitpick, the dinner menu could be a bit more interesting. Other than that, everything was great.

"A good hotel with a decent and tasty breakfast served in an interestingly located restaurant. The rooms are clean and spacious. It's pleasantly cool in summer even during the heat, although there's no air conditioning. A special highlight is the mountain river flowing nearby — you can hear its sound at night. The location is truly excellent, especially convenient because the free shuttle bus stop is right next to the hotel. In the pool, the water is very warm, but it was impossible to use it — all the spots around the pool were constantly occupied."

"Resort très bien situé avec un emplacement de rêve face au lagoon. Tout ce qu’il faut notamment avec deux ados heureux de pouvoir faire activités nautiques, salle de sport et ping pong etc Appartement confortable Le petit plus: un cuisinier peut venir faire le repas poisson calamar crevettes etc grilles au barbecue de l’appartement. Super concept. Les cuisiniers sont indépendants de l’établissement"

Organised tours available for guests from tourist agencies, for self organised guests rent-a-car is the only option for sightseeing. Some facilities require better maintenance.

Avec une température extérieure de 8° , les chambres n'étaient pas chauffée. Cela gâche un peu le charme de cet hotel.

Pas d'eau chaude pour la douche suite problème de pression. Salle de restaurant très bruyante au dîner.

"Très bel endroit : bungalow ouvert dans la jungle, pas d'électricité mais lampe solaire, pas d'eau chaude mais sacoche d'eau laissé au soleil, ce qui est largement suffisant. Bonne nourriture. Jolie plage des deux côtés de la pointe. Patti, la proprio est très sympa. Un vrai personnage ! Sortie baleine TB. Petit coin de paradis, mais bien trop cher !!!!"

Rien, si ce n'est le prix qui est vraiment très élevé. Nous sommes dans un coin reculé et le confort que l'on obtient se monnaie cher !! 70 USD la pension par personne, 100 USD le transfert depuis l'aéroport + le prix des bungalows .... Si vous rajoutez une sortie baleine à 190 USD, cela fait environ 500 € par jour pour un séjour de 3 jours !!! La note est salée

"Le charme de l'hôtel tout en blanc qui fait penser à la Grèce. L'emménagement très original d'un style bien africain avec plein de sculptures en bois et des tableaux. Des chambres spacieuses et confortables donnant sur le port avec vue sur le coucher de soleil. C'était magique. Un personnel absolument adorable comme si nous étions en famille. L'excursion de snorkelling et sur l'île Wasini organisé par l'hôtel avec leur capitaine Hassan était super et nous avons vu plein de dauphins 🐬 :)"
