"Absolutely lovely people! Like coming home to an aunt/uncle while travelling. Very helpful with local POI's, cuisine, history and more concerning Trinidad Tobago. For the breakfast in this Bed & Breakfast, I was driven down a little ways to the local town, to be treated with what locals consider breakfast, Doubles. Cant say I've had anything like it before noon, loved it! Not to mention the stunning mansion in the hills, which they build themselves. The numerous hummingbirds you can observe from touching distance on the balcony was an absolute treat. Definitely a highlight in my travels!"

"The Mountain Palace is located in a beautiful mountainous area allowing for a spectacular view. The surrounding garden was landscaped in such a way to attract polinating birds and insects allowing for a unique close to nature experience. Haresh Ramrattan is an excellent host and most knowledgeable on all matters related to Trinidad’s geography, ecosystem, culture and more. Offering suggestions wherever appropriate to maximize the enjoyment of my stay. The breakfasts served during my week’s stay reflected the Trinidad cuisine, where I was never served the same meal twice."

"The memories of my stay at the Mountain Palace still resonate and will for a long while. Although all rooms are equiped with airconditioners, I am a person who prefers to sleep without an AC. Due to heavy rainfall during my stay mosquitos became a slight inconvenience; the availability of mosquito repellent and a fan would have eased this inconvenience somewhat."

The property has a lovely terrace with incredible, panoramic views of the valley and rainforest and an abundance of birds in the garden! The hosts were extremely attentive and offered lots of information about local treats and activities, such as the waterfall trail. As an extra special treat, the breakfast involved a trip to the town to pick up some hot and tasty doubles!"

"The location of the property made it tricky to get around independently without a rental car. We decided against getting a car for our trip but luckily our hosts accommodated our needs and organised trips and taxis."
