"Very central in Kampala but wonderfully quiet as our room faced away from the street. Very hospitable staff. Restaurant willing to serve breakfast long after usual breakfast time. Ditto with evening meal. Our non-resident visitors treated with exceptional courtesy. This is not a five star place but the kind attention of the staff more than make up for this. Theirs is a five-star-plus service. Shopping with every conceivable item and service to be got in this great city available right on the doorstep. Even a resident shoe-shine stand in the lobby."
"No lift from the entrance level to reception. This would only cause problems for wheelchair users or the severely infirm. But we have little doubt the helpful staff would readily find a way to get around this."

"Staff were very responsive, the room was spotless and it was professionally cleaned every day. Very good hot breakfast with fruit and juice, eggs cooked as you like them. There is an excellent restaurant called CJ's within a 100m. They also have a taxi driver called Fred who is a careful driver and does not overcharge."
