"We have often been in South Africa, in several places, but Eikendal Lodge is the best place we have ever been. It is comfortable, the personnel is very nice and friendly. There is a very good restaurant within walking distance. The views are fantastic: vineyards and at the horizon: Tafelberg. It cannot get any more romantic."

"There is tv in the room, but the programming is meagre. We would have loved to watch SABC (Sewende Laan) of Kyknet (Boer soek 'n vrouw). But instead they had ZDF (Germany) and Bongo TV (What?). But, to be honest, we were not there to watch television, so this is a minor point."

"We had such a lovely welcome and all the staff were super friendly. The location and gardens are beautiful and the whole place is so peaceful. Our room had a lovely rustic feel and was very comfortable. Fantastic selection for breakfast and we enjoyed the pool area one afternoon."

"The location is excellent and very quite and peaceful. Easy access to and from the airport. The staff was very friendly and ready to assist. The lady at reception who checked us in was very proffessional and friendly she made us feel welcomed. We got a room upgrade for free especially after a very long flight and we were tired and weary. The room was very neat and spacious with a comfy king size bed. We only regrated that we only booked for 2 nights insread of more days to fully aporeciate the peace and tranquility if the place. Food at the restaurent was very testy and nice. Breakfast was good however could do better with a little bit of variety. We will definately come back to this place."

"The room was stunning with excellent views The staff are really helpful We lunched at the vineyard and that too was remarkably good- we missed that it is closed for dinner on Sundays and Mondays - we would have loved to have gone again"

"Well maintained property close to Stellenbosch. The gardens and views of the mountains were beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and quiet. Fiona & Lorena were very nice and helpful. Wine tasting was fun!"

"The lodge is situated right in the middle of the vineyards. We had a suite with a wonderful terrace and a beautiful view into the vineyards. You can walk or jogg on the premise. Pool is very clean and refreshing. Breakfast was very good! Staff was very friendly."

"Beautifully presented outside areas, gardens and pool. Great bathroom and bedroom furnishings. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet , peaceful location."
