Tentes de luxe au Mozambique

"The Mankwe tented retreat is a little gem of a place, strategically located between Moremi and Khwai, with a good access to Mababe area and thus offering a wide variety of habitats with very good biodiversity. The tents are comfortable and the setting is very secluded and peaceful ... we were the only people staying at it at the time! ;) The team are very friendly and the game drives in particular very good - Op deserves high praise!"

Food options could be a bit more varied, but the cook is rather responsive. The pool seemed in need of a refresh.

Le ménage quotidien n’est pas fait et il n’y a pas de wifi dans les logements… Nécessité de prendre la voiture pour le petit dej

The road to get to the lodge was in terrible shape.

"L'emplacement sur une petite plage privée idyllique, la proximité du récif qu'on peut rejoindre grâce aux paddles prêtés par Luke. Les sunsets, l'hébergement hyper mignon. Faré est tout près en scooter, pour faire des courses ou un resto."

Il manque un point d'eau côté cuisine, mais c'est apparemment en projet.

"Very nice view onto the valley and the volcano. We were watching the stars and shooting stars from the very comfortable bed. Although it was cold outside, the blankets and heater keep you warm. The jacuzzi was nice as well."

The water in the jacuzzi is warm but not hot, but it wasn’t bad and totally acceptable for being in the middle of nowhere.

"L'emplacement, la mer, le cadre exceptionnel. L'amabilité et la disponibilité du personnel impeccable surtout Said le Tunisien à la réception. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est à améliorer surtout le café, imbuvable (même celui payant) côté salé pas mauvais par contre côté sucré assez pauvre. Le buffet dîner est assez bon. Dans l'ensemble un bon séjour."

Petit bémol de la clim, il faisait assez froid dans la bulle mais le soucis a été vite réglé une fois demandé.

"Great set up, breakfast, it poured with rain one night and the tent was dry as a bone. Dog loved it. Didn’t use the swimming pool but looked good for families. Good showers and communal cooking facilities."

"My son and I spent three weeks traveling around Puerto Rico and this was a wonderful addition to our trip. I love Pitahaya's focus on sustanability and eco traveling, the exclusion of single use water bottles (BRAVO) and attention to composting and recycling. This is something rarely seen on the island and greatly needed. The mattress in the tent was very comfortable and I absolutely loved showing under the stars. A great way to camp if you are unable to bring your personal camp gear or are simply looking for a more comfortable camping experience."

The main light in our tent would only last for a few seconds. We weren't aware that it was motion activated and that made it challenging to play board games and read at night.

"Tout était très bien. Le cadre est magnifique, naturel, sauvage et très propre. L’ambiance est familiale. Mention spéciale pour l’extrême gentillesse et dévouement du personnel et des propriétaires. Merci encore à Djibril et Theresa qui ont fait du Coin Sauvage notre meilleure escale à Madagascar."
